Race Numbers
Team manager, please see Nigel Bongers (07710 404 122) from Holland Sports on the day to get your team race number.
Location
I attach a map detailing the location of the start, and of the course. It is suitable for spikes, although due to the flinty/stony nature of some of the terrain, long spikes are not advised. Generally speaking the course is flat, firm and fast. There is a technical two minute stretch in the woods that can get quite muddy, followed by a rapid descent and shortly thereafter the famous one-minute climb up to the Windmill. The course is 5.6 miles in length.
Post codes, changing, toilets and tea
We shall open up our clubhouse for changing, shower and toilet facilties, and there will be tea available upstairs after the race for any interested. Belgrave Hall is on Denmark Road, just off the Ridgway, postcode SW19 4PG. It is a 6 minute jog or 12 minute stroll to the start.
The post code for the Fox and Grapes pub which is adjacent to the start is SW19 4UN.
Parking
Free parking at the Windmill car park is an option, and the start is a 5 minute jog from there.
In the immediate vicinity there’s a fair amount of free parking on the Causeway and surrounding rounds, or on residential streets a little further afield, especially off the Ridgway [like Lansdowne Road]. Failing that there’s plenty of Pay and Display on Southside.
First Aid
The nearest hospital is Kingston Hospital, Galsworthy Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey, KT2 7QB. And there will be first aid facilities at the course.
